For Twitter:-

• Login with your Twitter Account.

• Same as with Facebook, in the first box type your name or friend’s name and in the second box type whatever you want to search.

• Click on the search button and all your related results will be shown at it’s right side.

Remove Write Protection Error in USB Pen Drive

If while  transferring data using your pendrive you get an error like Disk is Write Protected then neither  you can send data into it nor copy any data from the pen drive to your PC. By using this  trick  you can easily remove this error from your Pen Drive.Perform it carefully as it requires editing of registry code.

Trick to Remove Write Protection Error in USB Pen Drive:-

• Open Run Dialog box by Pressing Window+R.
• Type Regedit and Press Enter.
• Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrrentControlSet\Control and look for StorageDevicePolicies.

• If you cannot find StorageDevicePolicies there then do create this file first.(Look at the end of this article for instructions )
• Now you will see WriteProtect in your right window pane, double click on it.
• In the Value Data field  change the value to 0(zero).
• Now restart your system and then use your pen drive.

There is an alternative method to do this just download this zip file that contains both files i.e. Enable/Disable Write Protection: click here.

Method to Create StorageDevicePolicies File:-

• Click Start, type regedit.exe and hit ENTER.
• Navigate to the following location:
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrrentControlSet\Control
• Right-click Control and select New and Key.
• Name it as StorageDevicePolicies and Right click on it
• Select New > DWORD and name it as WriteProtect.

• Double click on it and set its value to 0 (zero).
• Restart your system and this would Disable write protect on USB.

Trick to Automatically Shutdown PC in Windows

Sometimes you have to shutdown your PC when you are away from it.If you have your antivirus scan running or downloading huge files from internet you can’t sit in front of the pc for whole time.There are a lot of third party softwares which can schedule the shutdown process.By using this trick you can shutdown your Pc using windows scheduler.

Trick to Automatically Shutdown PC in Windows:-

• Go to Start and type Task Schedule in the search box and press Enter.
• Click on Action and then Create Basic Task.

• In Name field give any name for your task and then click on next button.

• Select the delay (Daily,weekly etc) after which you want to repeat this task and click on next button.

• Now specify the time at which when you want this task to execute and click on next.

• Now select Start a Program and click on Next button.
• Browse the program which you want to execute and click on next button. For Shutdown Copy/Paste this location:-

C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe

• After this click on Finish button.

If someone is logged-on your PC at the execution time of the task, he/she is given one minute to save all data  which is open before the computer shuts down.

Task scheduler can also be used to schedule other programs.Even Google Chrome uses task scheduler to run the automatic updates

Display Your Name With Time in Taskbar

You can display your name with time instead of AM/PM in taskbar of windows 7,vista and windows Xp without using any third party software.You can use two names and they will be automatically changed during daytime (AM) and Night (PM).This doesn’t require any registry editing or complex programming.

Trick to Display your Name with Time in Taskbar:-

• Click on your time in the taskbar and then click on the Change Date and time Setting.

• It will open new a window, click on the Change Date and Time Setting.

• Now click on the Change Calendar Setting.
• In the customize Format window select Time Tab.
• In this tab look for AM/PM symbol and give any name that you want to display along with Time
• Click  on OK button to save changes.

Add Uninstall Option In Right Click Context Menu

Post Empty Status on Facebook

We usually update our facebook status with a quote or share a line about our day.All of us want to get attention of others to our status.In one of my earlier post I wrote about the trick to Update your facebook status with any device(blackberry,iphone,ipad etc) .

How would you feel if you see a blank status update from someone? Amazed!!
You can’t write a blank status update by simply pressing the Space key and then clicking on Post button.Instead you have to use special codes to write a blank character in your facebook status.

Trick to Post Empty Status on Facebook:-

• Login to your Facebook Account and go to Update Status field.
• Press and hold Alt key and just type 0173.
• Release Alt Key and click on share Post.
• That’s all now your empty status will be update.


If the above trick doesn’t work in your account then type   @[0:0: ] in your status and share it.

Trick to Integrate Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin in Google+

Have you moved to Google+ but  don’t want to loose touch with facebook and Twitter.In one of my earlier post’s I gave you the trick to integrate Google+ and Facebook using  Google+Facebook extension. With a new Google Chrome addon Gooce+ you can integrate Facebook,Twitter and Linkedin with your Google+ Accounts.

Requirements:-

1. Google Chrome web browser
2. Gooce+ (Google Chrome extension)

Trick integrate various social networking site in google+

• Open your Google Chrome web browser and click here to get the Gooce+ extension.
• Now Click on Add to chrome button.
• Click on Continue button (at the left bottom of your screen) and then click on install button.
• Now login to your Google+ Account.
• Here you will see Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin icons in your Google+ homepage.

• Click on any of the icon that you want to access at that time in Google+. E.g If you want to Log in into Facebook from Google+.
• Click on the Facebook Icon and then click on Sign with Facebook button.
• Enter your Facebook login details in new popup window.
• After login it will Request For Permissions . Click on the Allow button.


• That’s it. Now you can update you Facebook status, likes and can do comments .

If you are getting any kind of problem like 404 Error after clicking on the Allow button then don’t panic. Go to your Google+ homepage again and click on the Facebook icon and you will see your Facebook wall on your screen in Google+.

Trick to Open Multiple Start-up Pages in Google Chrome

When you open your web browser then it opens your Default Homepage. By using this trick you can select more than one start-up page in Google Chrome:-

• Open your chrome browser and click on the Wrench Icon.

• Now select option button and click on the Basics Tab in the newly opened window.

• In the on Startup field choose Open the Following Pages option.

• Click on the Add button and in the pop up window add the URL of the page that you want to open at startup.

• Restart (close/open) your browser and it will open all your pages that you have added.

Trick to Enable Bitlocker in Window 7 and How to Use it

All of us have some private data like some personal pictures,office files or any other stuff which we want to protect from others.You can either use encryption using third-party freeware softwares like Axcrypt ,Disguise Folders or you can use Bitlocker (windows inbuilt encryption software) .Using Bitlocker you can lock your local drives .It comes pre-installed in Ultimate and Enterprise editions of windows 7 ,Vista as well as the Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Trick to Enable Bitlocker in Window 7:-

• Click on the Start button.  In the search field type RUN and Click on it.

• Now in the Run box type gpedit.msc command and press OK.

• Go to this path:-

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > BitLocker Drive Encryption > Operating System Drives.

• In the Right Side window Pane Double Click on the Require Additional Authentication at Startup. This will open a new window.

• In newly opened window select Enabled and also don’t forget to check mark Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM option and click OK.

Trick To Use Bitlocker Encryption:-

• Go to My Computer and the Hard Drive that you want to make Password Protected. Right Click on the drive and then click on the Turn on BitLocker.

• When you click on the Turn on BitLocker option then a new window will pop up and in this window set your password in password field and click on Next button.

• Now it will ask you where you want to save recovery key i.e. to USB, Recovery File, Print Recovery Key. Use any option recommended use Recovery Key to File. Now browse the location in your PC where you want to save this. Keep this file safe because this will help you to unlock your drive when you lost the password and click on next.

• Now click on the Start Encryption button and your Encryption will start. It will take some time to complete.

That’s it. When it will completed, you will see a locker type image on the drive and when you double click on it then it will ask you to enter Password.

• Click on the Install button appearing on the upper right side corner in to your firefox window.

• In the new pop up window again click on the Install button.

• That’s it. Now you will see a script is successfully installed notification at the below of your screen.

Now when your friend will Poke you then he will automatically be Poked Back.

Protect Secret Folders With Disguise Folders

If you have some data that you want to protect from others you can either encrypt it using freeware utilities like Axcrypt or you can disguise the folder.By using Disguise Folders you can make your secret folder to look  and act as a system file.E.g You can convert your secret folder into Windows update.When somebody will click on that folder he will be automatically redirected to  windows update.Disguise Folders is a freeware and portable utility.

How to Remove URL From Google Search

Everyday billions of searches are made on Google from all over the world.If you own an e-commerce website and your checkout page or old product pages have been indexed in google then you should de-index them.Even if  you have a personal website or blog and have removed some indexed pages  from it then you should also de-index them from Google otherwise visitor to those pages will see 404 error which is not good for Seo of your website.
If you have just created a page and don’t want it to get indexed you can use robot meta tag in the <head> section of  your page.

If your page has been already indexed then you should follow the below steps to remove it from google.

How to Remove Any Link From Google Search:-

• Login to your Google Account.

• Now you will be on My Removal Request Page and click on the New Removal  Request.

• Give the URL of link that you want to remove and click on continue.
• Select any reason why you want to remove this link and click on Submit Button.

It will take some time like 2-3 days to completely de-index you URL from the results.

How to Copy Text From Any Image

Do you need certain information in the form of text from scanned copies of documents.Either you can write the whole text by typing or you can use an OCR software.OCR (optical Character recognition) is method to extract text from images.It can recognise handwritten,printed or typewritten text and can reproduce them into editable word or txt format.
These OCR software also preserve the formmating of the orignal scanned document into converted document.They are not 100% accurate and the converted document still requires some editing.But it is better to use an OCR software and do some editing rather to type the whole Doument.

Earlier I have reviewed top Free OCR softwares .If you have microsoft office installed in your computer then you won’t need any other third-party software as you can use Microsoft Office OneNote to copy text from image.

Trick to Copy Text From Any Image:-

• For this you have to install MS-Office on your system.
• Now open Microsoft Office OneNote (Start–>All Programs–>Microsoft Office–>Microsoft Office OneNote).
• Drag and Drop the image in the MS-OneNote window from which you want copy the text.
• Now Right-Click on the image and select Copy Text From Picture option.

• Open Notepad or MS-Office (where you want save the text) and paste the content there.

Now you have the whole text in your notepad or Ms-Office.You can edit or format it and save only the required excerpt.

Trick to Auto Shutdown PC in UBUNTU

Linux is a open source Operating system.It is free and more secure than windows.It uses Linux Kernel which was written by Linus Torvalds in 1991.Earlier I gave you the trick to automatically shutdown pc in windows Operating System.Similarly you can also automate the process of shutdown in UBUNTU

Trick to Auto Shutdown PC in UBUNTU:-

• Open Terminal window [Ctrl+Alt+T].
• Run the following command to install Gnome Schedule.

sudo apt-get install gnome-schedule

After installing Gnome Scheduler, open Run Application [Alt+F2] and run the following command in it.

gksu gnome-schedule

Click New—>Recurrent Task


Now in the Description field give any display message that you want to show and in the Command field type

/sbin/poweroff

In the Time & Date field set the time when you want to shutdown your PC and click on Add button.
Now your pc will  Automatically Shutdown at the scheduled time by displaying the message PC Shutdown at Midnight.
